Is the app a subscription?
No. Updatest is a one-time purchase for the core app. You pay once and own the license forever.
The Updatest Network is currently available as a free preview for all license holders. An optional subscription with additional features is coming soon.
How does the free trial work?
You don't need to purchase anything to start. Download Updatest and click Try Free to use the app for 14 days. No payment is required to begin the trial.
How do I transfer my license to a different Mac?
You can deactivate devices you're no longer using directly in Updatest under Settings. This frees up an activation for your new Mac.
You can also manage activations from your Lemon Squeezy order page. If you need help, contact help@updatest.app
What's the difference between Individual and Household?
The Individual license allows activation on up to 3 Macs at the same time, with one user per Mac.
The Household license allows activation on up to 10 Macs at the same time, with one user per Mac. It's designed for families or small teams where each person uses their own Mac.
What is the Updatest Network?
Updatest Network is a live service that expands update coverage using anonymized version data from other Updatest users.
It's currently available as a free preview for all license holders. An optional subscription with additional features is coming soon.
This does not affect the core Updatest app, which remains a one-time purchase.
